Pay day advances

I obtained a loan from Route 66. After reading all the posts, I am a bit nervous. I did just call and spoke to some one regardarding taking the full amount out on Friday, and confirmed that there would be no other debits. For those that have had problems with this lender, did you pay it in full the first time, or allow them to debit your account in installments? Also, does anyone know about Maryland and the maximum amount allowed to be charged for a loan? I have paid over $1100 to date with $455 expected left on a $500 loan with WebPayday.

I also live in a state that prohibits them. I was ripped off like crazy, b/c I didn't know my rights. I would suggest that you place a stop payment on them before Friday or even close your acct. You are only required to pay them back the principal since that are illegal. If the loan was for $500, you are to pay back $500. I would send them a settlement letter from www.pollyandsay.yesdebtfree.com and request for a refund.
