Is it just me?

I think they are probably googling their loan company, and this site comes up from others having something to say about that particuliar compnay. I hate to see that so many are looking for loans, probably half aren't operating legally, and we will see them back in the forum wanting help from those loans!...KAren

For sure on that one---I know darn good and well the last one was looking for a stinkin' PDL. I felt like saying NO, NO---don't do it!

Inotice that when using google to look up information on Payday lending this site is one of the first ones to appear. I am happy that I stumbled across the site, it has been so helpful when dealing with ipdl's

lol! I have told them to stay away from the pdls if they are lookig for one! I tell them to google that and see what others have gone through. Course, some of them do it anyway...Karen

With it being christmas time, the pdls are living it up. Hopefully we can keep getting the word out and stop them before they make the fatal mistake.

I did some online searching and reached this conclusion.

Of course, this site is reaching far off places because of many reasons. People are discussing their financial issues and anyone in need of help comes here. Google doesn't want to break this community, and thus keeps the website at the top.

On the other side, this site being at the top is turning out to be bad for lenders, collectors. They run a check on their companies and because of the numerous discussions about them here, someone actually interested in doing business with them changes their minds. That is why, I think collectors, and lenders come here to break the unity we have got. They expect a search on their website name will show them at the top in google or yahoo. But they get freaked out when the illegal things about their business is already available in this website at the top.

When I did a google search for Arrowhead Investments, this site popped up.

I agree totally! I was speaking to some jerk at LVNV and the woman said to me" We have become aware that you are very debt educated, and we know what web site you are getting all your information" I laughed and told her it waas about time I became debt educated, she just got mad and threatened me more!..KAren

Search for any loan company or collection agency we talk here.. You name it, the forum has it... Just any company we frequently read. How does it feel when you have a shop in your area and someone in front of your shop is bad mouthing your business because of your illegal doings. Never feels nice!! :lol: ouch!! It hurts!!

Bossy that is kind of funny ! I come here for all my debt questions and always get good advice. I found this site last winter (almost this time) when I was looking for a way out of the pdl cycle. Roadwarrior, I agree this forum is on the top of the list. I googled a phone number the other night and this site was number one. LOL! I hope we are spreading the word about some of these bogus and illegal companies. It's nice to know that I have some ground to stand on :-)

I think this site is definately irrating some of the payday loan places. You can tell that by the number of GUEST!!!! we have on here. Hope we stay at the top. Kyside38

thank you everyone on this site again for your help. I've noticed the recent amount of people thinking this is a PDL site which some people can't read lol. I ALMOST took out a payday loan i was -75 in my bank account due to a few errors and the bank branch was giving me a headache on refunding some fees. Well i was waiting on hold to get a loan and i luckily came to my senses and almost slapped myself! I hungup the phone and insted called the bank customer service # and they reversed 44 dollars in fees! so i just need 20 dollars to deposit! close call on my part!

OMG---this is TOO much! I love it! So when people google for money, this site comes up first? What a great way to get back at the PDL industry! Score one more for the good guys! I never thought of it showing up that way in a search. I knew that there had been an explosion of new members since I joined last April---NOW, I know I know a lot of people...LOL

People land here doing google search and then don't know where theya re, many are not internet savy or don't know how it all works. Just remember how confusing it was to you the first time you "surfed", I took my first surfing lesson back in 1994 through AOL nope wait we had Prodigy..ha I forgot

See---all it takes is for a few people like us, on a board like this and we are getting the word out about this scam filled industry. YAY!!

I think it is FANTASTIC that we have so much POWER. YES---I am woman, hear me roar about those PDL bores who don't know the score and I say never MORE!!! (I know, I know don't quit my day job)

This site has really help me out :D It just makes me mad that my cousin knows about the pdl debt that I'm in, then she turns around and gets a pdl from ameriloan deposited in her savings account. She will probably never quit at just the one either b/c she has said many of times, "I can't believe has easy that was to get approved!" :evil:

She will quit when she has no money left and has to start pawning things to pay the loans back and her phone never stops ringing
