Anyone know how to get this company to stop harassing me? They took out $410 for a $300 loan, under the name of Instant Payday loans, then they changed their name MTE Financial to take money out of my acct. I threatened them with going to the Attorney Generals office, yet Apryl says I didn't notify them 3 days ahead of time and that money was not put towards the loan. I tried to tell her that no where on the paperwork does it have a phone number, email address or website to contact them. What can I do? Am I stuck paying anymore money, since they already have $410? Thanks for any help.

Thanks so much for checking this out. Now, do they have a leg to stand on when it comes to suing me, or garnishing my wages? They refused to give me a mailing address, and the only way I found their phone number was on here. There was no number on the contract (that they said I signed on the internet), so I had no way to give them that 3 day notice as they say you have to give them. I just want to know what they can do to me? I closed my accts and contacted the bank. I also contacted the Attorney Generals office in NY State. Thanks for all your help.

They say I still owe the money even though they took over $300 out already. I don't know what a wage assignment is? I didn't even have the paper work until they emailed me a "copy". I don't remember seeing MTE in the wording of the document otherwise I would have known who they were when they went into my acct.

Maybe this company doesn't use wage assignments. Sonic uses them just in case you default on your loan, they can go after your wages to get their money. Wage assignments are voluntary and can be revoked at anytime. They claim your it is a digital signature that gives them the right to do this. It's all done when you sign the contract online. Most employers don't honor them unless they have a court order. Do you still have a copy of the document they sent you in an email? If so, look over it and see if it says anything about this.

You've done the right things so far by contacting your AG's office and closing your bank account.

If your company is doing business the correct way there should be no problem with me getting your address.

In order to provide the correct mailing address, we would first need to know what it is that you will be sending in order to ensure that it is received by the appropriate department.

All debits made from your account were in direct accordance with the terms that you agreed to by signing your loan contract, exactly the same as the first loan that you had with our company and paid off in accordance with the same terms. Your account has been marked "Paid in Full" according to those terms, as you did select to pay your loan off on 12/1/06 and the debit cleared your account.

On the Legal Disclosures page of the website, there is a very important statement that you may have overlooked, so I have copied it below, along with a copy of your signed contract as proof of your agreement to the terms that you are now disputing and proof that you were given every opportuntity to pay your loan off sooner than you did, hence accruing less finance charges than you did. The finance fees that were assessed were based on your own decision not to make the selection to pay your loan off prior to 12/1/06:

Excerpt from Legal Disclosures page of
www TenDollarPaydayLoan com

Regardless of where you may be viewing or accessing this site, you as the borrower are responsible for complying with any local statutory obligations that may exist in your state or area with respect to this transaction. The Federal laws and laws of the jurisdiction in which the Lender is located governing this consumer loan agreement may differ from the laws of the state where you reside. If you do not want to enter into a consumer loan agreement with us under our terms, then you should apply for a loan at a provider located in the state where you live

i sent her my letter about how much I had paid over on the loan according to my state laws and what not first..above are the emails between us

You keep fighting them too! I plan on it. I spoke to an Apryl, who was the biggest b$#%&#. Then Sabrina called me, she is apparently there. I asked for a mailing address, an email and a phone number, but they didn't seem to want to give it to me either. How can someone call in 3 days ahead of time and tell them that they want the loan paid, if you can't reach these people. Well...they can't get blood from a stonen and I am a BRICK WALL right now.
Don't let them win! They are a company that needs to be STOPPED NOW!!!

If WE ALL stick together, we can shut this crack pot company out of business all together. They are a bunch of thieves and we need to call the Attorney General of every state we can. I am in NY and have done this. Don't stop....we need them to see that they can't steal from people. Enough is enough! They can't take advantage of people. CALL THE AG office of your State NOW! Call anyone you can....the BBB also.
Tell them ALL the names this company goes by also. Shut your checking accts down and turn them in NOW!

I went to the BBB today and reported them, they already had a file on them.

I am hesitant to close my account becuase I have two payday loans that I think are legitimate. What is your advise. One is with Payday OK and the other is with CashNetUSA.
