Tammy that is the email I received in June that led me to close my acct with BOA hwich led to the deafult on the IPDL and the call from Mr. Mitchell/Nationwide that led me here. I was STUPID enough to fall for it and gave them all my information and then a split second later it hit me and 5 minutes later I was at the bank branch

I was just thinking and can recall getting something like this in the mail, but this was in the summer. Is this scam just through the Internet?

it is not just BofA I also got a email from Citi Bank and I have never had an account with them. And my credit union bottom line is that NO bank will ask you to link in and confirm you password. They will not call either. What will happen is you will go to use your ATM card and it will be denied and YOU call them. I had this happen on a trip they restricted my cash withdrawels and my use when I called to confirm it was me the released the restriction. so do not reply to ANY email from a Bank always place the call the same goes for a call from the bank,, Hang up and call them back at the number you always use to call them..
