Another good topic, full of realistic ideas. The sentence that attracts me most is “A Budget Is Not Your Enemy”. We often avoid budgeting and think that it will reduce our available balance, we often avoid budgeting with the mentality that it says all about savings. But this is not right. Budgeting can help us spend more also.

Read the article, hope you would like it.

Stanley I really liked the article and its something I try my best to do every year. KYSIDE38

I like the idea of Christmas budgeting! I have tried a Christmas club in the past, and found that to be a pretty good tool to use, but I also shop throughout the year for Christmas gifts. If I see a toy or gift item on clearance after Christmas (especially late i January when they REALLY mark things down), I pick it up - but ONLY if I have the extra money. It's not a bargain if I can't pay for it without hardship. Some years, I've been able to pretty much have Christmas shopping done, all except the stocking stuffers, by way before Christmas this way.

I have thought of shopping the after Christmas sales too in preparation for the next year adn there are always great buys. But, I don't know it just seems like it spoils the excitement of shopping during the actual season. Except now the SEASON starts even before Halloween practically. I saw someone this year with their Christmas lights on their house on Halloween!! Thought that was too much!
