So here is it. I have been doing some reseach on Route 66. Since they say that they are based out of London. I found these two websites and http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/home.do & http://www.direct.gov.uk/Homepage/fs/en

I submitted a consumer complaint about Route 66 on the second website. On the first website I looked and they are not registered in the UK. So I asked them for more information about UK lending laws. If they are going to argue that they are based on the UK. I am going to find all of the laws of the UK that they are breaking. We will see what they have to say about that. By the way they blocked my phone number. Because I have called them so much.

I haven't heard anything from rt 66 in weeks. I filed a BBB complaint, which of course they never answered. They used to call my work 20 times a day, but they've stopped that too. Has anyone had this happen? Do they start again? I've talked to their "legal" dept and got a few veiled threats about future actions, but so far nothing has happened. I know they can't really do anything, but has anyone else had this happen?

goudah - I had a discussion with them back in late October/early November, which involved me advising them that they were lending illegally, that I was aware of it, and that I would be filing complaints with the AG, BBB, whoever I could find to give them as much grief as possible. I didn't hear from them for a couple of weeks, then I got an e-mail saying I needed to get in touch with them because they were about to start involving "third parties", and that work would start on my file in 2 days. Two weeks after that e-mail, I received another, stating that work had been completed on my file, and that phone calls would be made to my references, my payroll department, etc. in 2 days if I didn't contact them. (2 days seems to be their favorite time frame.)

That last e-mail was received over 2 weeks ago, and I have yet to hear any more from them, nor have they called anyone else connected to me. (At least no one has told me they have.) I'm pretty sure they think I'm not worth bothering with.
