Roughly a month ago I contacted a representative from Debt Advocates of America about debt consolidation. At that time I was sent a packet of information from your Luftman, Heck and Associates. After discussing the consolidation process with my wife (over the Thanksgiving Weekend) we came to the conclusion that I we were not interested in this particular type of debt consolidation. On Monday November 27th I contacted a representative from Luftman, Heck and informed him of our decision. He was very understanding and seemed genially concerned over our plight. At no time did he indicate that our discussion did not constitute a termination of our oral agreement made over the phone. On Friday December 15th I received a voice mail from another representative from Luftman Hec k to inform me that the first Payment of $400.00 was to be deducted from my checking account this week. I do not want this to happen. As far as I am concerned this issue was resolved amost as soon as it started. I sent them an e-mail this weekend and plan on sending an express letter tomorrow as well as contacting them by phone. Have I done the right thing and how can I be sure that they will not attempt to take money out of my checking account.

Just as a precaution I would put a block on this company from debiting from your account. It will cost you a fee, but a small price to pay for saving $400. I think you have done the right thing. Especially if you haven't signed any contracts and you already notified them that you did not wish to obtain their services.
