Garnishments...

They would have a helluva time getting a judgement. No judge in the world is going to allow an illegal co to garnish your wages.

They can use a wage assignment, though, which you can revoke with a simple letter..No matter what they tell you.

Ok..one of the last ones I am dealing with is saying that just because it says "prohibited in NC", that means there just can't be a store in NC. She said that PDL companies can't reside inside NC, but others can loan to the residents..??

Oh geez...I'd bet anything they can't loan anywhere. Keep pressing them on payment arrangements, send them what you can when you can, and if need be, have a revocation letter ready.

I have paid them $53.25 on a $100.00 loan and now they are saying that I owe them $175.00. According to Steelers1, I am only required to pay back the principal of $100.00 b/c they are illegal here...

Gee thanks...Ok, one last question...what am I to do b/c I am going to send them $43.75 by money order and they say that I will still have a balance of $131.25?? Can I send some type of document that states if they cash the money order that they are settling with me for $100.00, and that my acct will be marked PIF. And if so, where can I find something that says that??
