I am currently over 20 something thousand dollars in debt. Not including my car loan and my school loan of another 37 grand (that's both combined). I want my school loan and my car loan to be untouched and I just want my credit cards to be consolidated. The sooner I get rid of them in my life the better off I'll be. I can not afford any more debt with the credit cards right now and it just seems they keep on piling up. I checked a couple places out but their is so many options to choose from which is why I am here. I figured if I looked around on forum boards it would help me out.

Hi Dblock! Welcome to the forums! Since you've registered, someone will be in touch to discuss some options for your credit cards!

Also feel free to ask any questions you may have along the way here in the forums! Chances are, someone here has dealt with the same companies you have, and can help you get through it.

Or, if you just feel like venting, we're good for that too!

Congratulations on taking the first step!

You are thinking in the right direction.

Your first step will be to cut all the credit cards and return to the companies. This way, you will have no plastic money to use when trying to bring things back in control.

Consolidation companies will be able to combine your credit card debts under one monthly payment at lower interest rate. Most of the fees are also going to be waived off in the plan.

You will have some savings in the consolidation plan. Use that money towards your student and car loan.
