I hate AOL. I fricking hate the d@mn thing! Why do people still use it? It's crap. It's always been crap. It will always be crap. And I don't give a sh*t who they partner with - the add-on will be just as crappy.

So, to you AOL, I say....go away!

Oh Mishele - I know just what you mean! It is like they would rather train some nubie than pay for experience! I was an exec assist. and every time I interviewed, I was turned down because I was "over qualified" in other words - no degree or they would have to pay me too much money! But I feel that you get what you pay for.

Ok...Another minor rant about the pharmacy.....

I just saw the Giant Eagle Pharmacy commercial where they talk about the $4 generic prescripts.....

Ok....I take Wellbutrin...Tell me WHY they have a generic for the 300 mg, but not the 150 mg? I only take 150 mg once per day. And since my prescrip. insurance sucks big time, I basically have to pay full price. Gahhhhhhh! I don't know how much the generic for the 300 mg. would be, but I'm sure it's better than the $109 for a 30 day supply that I pay.

Steelers, I can empathize with you big time. What idiotic people there are! My youngest son, Johnnie, had a trach for the first year of his life. I hated taking him in public because people - not the kids, the ADULTs would stare and make faces when they saw the trach. One "friend" that had never seen him (I didn't take him out very often because he needed to be on mist) I showed pictures to. I thought he was very cute. He had fat, rosy cheeks, blond curly hair and just looked cherubic. All she saw was the trach and said, "Ewwww!! How can you stand it!" Needless to say, I no longer consider her a friend.

Jessi, I ran across the same thing. My son takes 20 mg fluoxetine (generic Prozac). I took the prescription to Giant Eagle. They said since it was written for 20 mg and not 10, they couldn't fill it. I need to take it back to the doctor and have him write it for 10 mg in order for them to fill it!

Steelers - people can be so cruel! When my Michael was alive he look like any other kid - healthy, pink chubby cheeks and normal. The pink chubby cheeks were the result of steroidal use for nearly 10 years. He was also laterally stunted due to the steroids. At 16 he was the size of a 6-7 year old. I once had to take him to the welfare office for a visual meeting and the woman there said to me that he was too healthy to receive benefits! Michael proceeded to remove his shirt and ask her if that was the case - why did he have a broviac for nutrition? She nearly fell on the floor. It was the last time that he had to be seen in person! The last straw was when he went to get his temp shortly before he died - the DMV wouldn't let him - they accused him of forging his birth certificate and told him he was too short! His heart was broken - but I let him drive with me in the car anyway. He died about six weeks after his 16 birthday, but at least he got to drive.

Ok, a new rant - one I think everyone can relate to - insurance companies!

I've had auto insurance with Progressive for quite some time - no problems at all. Last weekend, I traded my old minivan in on a used conversion van. When I changed the vehicle on my policy, I noticed the VIN on the conversion van brought up a strange vehicle description - "incomplete chassis". I brushed it off and kept going, thinking it was just the way it was described - like some minivans are called "trucks" on the title, etc. (My parents' conversion van is called a "wagon" on theirs!)

I got a call at 9:00 Sunday morning from Progressive Insurance. Because the van is considered an "incomplete chassis", they were going to have to know what I paid for the van ($1400), which is what they would put as the value on the policy. They were putting my van on a stated value policy, which means that's all I'll get for it if it gets totalled. Also, due to the VIN showing it as a "incomplete chassis", my premium was going up $250 per six month policy term!!

I told them I might as well not even have collision coverage on it at that rate, because any damage done to it that exceeded my deductible would probably exceed the stated value listed on the policy! They informed me I was free to change my coverages - I told them I'd be changing it, all right....I'd be CANCELLING it as soon as I found other coverage with another company.

I called my parents' insurance agency (a little local agency that handles multiple companies and works to get me the lowest premium possible). They checked into it, asked me a few questions about the van and what type of conversion it was, and a few hours later, called me back with the results. $400 cheaper than Progressive per six-month policy term, broadform collision coverage, comp, and roadside, same deductibles I had with Progressive.

Progressive can go fly a kite.

Stay away, far away from Direct Auto insurance. They are crooked, slow and are not worth the money you have to spend on insurance. Once my hubby truck got fixed after hitting the deer, I went into full mode of filing complaints against them with the TN AG and the Department of Insurance division. We are now with Farm Bureau and they have awesome rates and alot cheaper than Direct.

 Here is my addition to the rant thread. What unnerves me quicker than anything is how these companies come in here on our board, lie about practically everything and got the nerve to say we are breaking the law .

Come on now! If you took care of your customers, there would be no reason for this board to even be here.I am referring to creditors, collectors, and other ones over here.
How would it make any sense to piss off your means of a steady income. Hell if I tried that in my line of work,I'd be looking for new job rather quickly.

I work in the oil and gas industry drilling new wells.I am a Field Supervisor in charge of my equipment and crew. Now why would you want to upset someone paying your company 1000-3000/day us dollars.I wish I cleared that but just useing example of lost income due to poor attitude.Ok stepping off soapbox until they come back.

I've been with State Farm Insurance all of my life. I have always liked them and still do. I used to have a problem with an agent I had when I was younger. I've been with the same agent for thirteen years now and I absolutely love them. I've never really had a radical raise in my insurance rates. With the house, cars, and truck, we pay a cheap amount every month around our area. Plus they have always taken care of us. My stepdaughter used to have Progressive and she said they were pretty expensive. It kind of goes against their tv commercials where they claim to save you money. Cajun, I agree with you 100%. Been there done that.

I do have a different rant this morning. Over the past couple of weeks, I had two interviews with a company about a position I was really excited about. I hate the interviewing process but I thought I did well both times. Usually I think I sound like a moron or something. So I found out yesterday the owner of the company hired his daughter. Why go through all of this if the position is going to someone in the family? UGH!

LOL jeff! The buggiest windows os known to man. I ran it - BRIEFLY - before it irretrievably damaged my computer with repeated crashes and I bought a new one.

Mishele - I totally understand your rant about that position. I've seen that happen too, and you have to wonder why some companies even bother advertising outside the company when they know they're going to fill it from within. I'm sure it has to do with EOE.

My rant for today: Lawyer debt settlement companies.I have noticed two so far on this board that swallows money like a black hole but customer receives nothing in return. How is this possible? A person is barely holding their head above water and then they get slam dunked by something like this.It is a sad country we live in when this is legal!

I just spent two days in the most agressive, aggravating, stressful interviews for one position that I've ever been through. I love the dumb questions they ask to get your behavior type or whatever. At least they didn't break me. I think the big wig liked me because he admires a woman who doesn't take crap off of anyone. LOL!
