IS Route 66 Funding legit? Using other names?

Is this outfit, route 66 funding, the same as MTE financial? I suspect that they are quite dirty. It seems that they are using a variety of names in their quest for the almighty dollar. I have had to close my checking account because I believe that they have been trying to debit my account for money not owed to them. Does this sound familiar to anyone???

You are quite correct in being suspicious of Rt. 66 Funding. They operate under several different DBA's (Doing Business As Names) and are very difficult to deal with. They use US addresses as fronts to appear to be "legal" in the US, when in fact they are not licensed in any state. At least not that I've heard of. They are located in the UK, not the US. Do a search of this site and read the threads on Rt. 66. They are notorious for calling people multiple times in one day, at home, work, etc., and threatening to send them to jail, sue, call their payroll department to garnish wages (which they can't), etc.

Do not let them threaten you. If you have a loan outstanding with them, check out your state's Payday Loan laws to see what the interest rate is and what the interest rate cap is. Pay your principal amount plus the interest allowed by your state, and then tell them to go fly a kite on the rest. You could run a check on their name in your state's business licensure database to see if they are licensed there, but chances are very good that they are not. Report them to your state's Attorney General immediately - this is one person who is in your corner on this matter.

It's still not confirmed whether Route 66 Funding has any connection with MTE Financial. I know Route 66 has affiliates with Cash Today Limited. And, MTE financial is connected with Rio Resources. It will be very shocking to figure out that most illegal pdls businesses coming together under one umbrella and carrying out their frauds. If this is happening, the innocent individuals will have no cover from these giants doing illegal things.
