You might want to send a debt validation letter to this company to ensure that you do not have a valid debt with them.
If you do not have a debt with this company, I would advise calling your phone company to see if you can put a block on this number. Also, put your number on the Federal Do Not Call list for telemarketers.
You can also call this company and demand to be removed from their call list, and advise them you will file a complaint with your state's Attorney General if they don't stop calling.

I would advise you to call them and make up some type of arrangement on when you can pay it. If they won't set up a payment arrangement, put away money whenever you can until you come up w/ the full amount that is owed and then send it to them. They want their money and truely they are entitled to it, so their not going to stop calling.

Plus that is what a collector is paid to do. You might want to call because if it is valid, they could start calling your friends and family. There is a program called skip tracing. It will pull up every address and phone number your name and social are or have been affiliated with. It will also pull up your next door neighbors and friends and family. Most agencies will stop at nothing. You don't want your business in the streets.

-Also, the poster didn't state the debt was theirs. They will need to validate it prior to just setting up a payment arrangement.
