My Credit!

My debt is all from cell phone companies. Sprint and Verizon are about five hundred, to six hundred each. I owe on my credit report about 1,100 USD, and my credit score is a 511. I want to fix this.

Have you tried contacting the companies to see about setting up a payment arrangement? I'm assuming they are both placed with a collection agency by now. Now that you have registered with the site and counselor will be contacting you to discuss your options. Are these the only two debts that you are wanting to clear up?

As pinklady suggest above, you definitely want to be sure you know where those cell phone debts are - with a collection agency, or still with the original creditor. Once you have that info, you can go about making payment arrangements.

Have you obtained the free credit reports from all three credit bureaus or just one? I have seen a few cases where the reports differed slightly.
