I received a notice from allied interstate saying that I have an outstanding debt ($29.70)from public storage. I have tried to contact public storage regarding this debt; however, this particular public storage is very difficult to get in contact with. My question is will my credit be negatively affected if I pay this collections agency the $29.70 or is it worth it to dispute the incorrect debt. My instinct is just to pay it since its such a small amount of money, but I worry that my credit will be negatively affected even if I pay it. does anyone know the answer?
