Can I consolidate my payday loans without owning a house?

How do I consolidate my payday loans? I got a mess going on. I took out 4 and then lost my job out of no where. I got employed a few weeks later but, the gap of time has caused some serious issues and the payday loan companies are slapping me with fees. I do not own a home, I have no assets and my credit is poor at this point due to the seesaw affect of this and other stuff. I have a great paying job but no way to get this stuff straightened out to get ahead with anything. I have no clue what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

WElcome to the forums. Since you have registered a debt counselor will be contacting you soon. In the meantime go to www.paydayloaninfo.org and look up your state laws on payday lending. That way you will know how much legally you have to pay back these morons. Also check the Secretary of stste website to see if they are licensed to do business in your state. Figure out how much you have paid each one and go from there. Keep us posted on your progress. KYSIDE38
