calling references

I am not really sure about calling your references. I think that when you default, they can call them, but they aren't allowed to give out any info. The way I see it, your references are only supposed to be contacted to find out ways of contacting you..Maybe someone else will be able to give you a definite answer.

Thanks - I thought that I read on one or more of the ipdl apps. that the would not call references. But then again I could be wrong.

Yea, the all say that they will not call your references. But when you default, they will do just about anything to bugg you and get money.. :lol:

On the apps. I had with ipdls it said that references wouldn't be contacted for approval but as contact numbers if you default. And natdust is right, they are not allowed to disclose the reason for their call or what your business is with them.

Tip of the majic top hat to you both! All the woman said was that it was an urgent matter and the she needed to hear from me immediately. My daughter who was one of my references was extemely upset and got in touch with me as fast as she could. Did I call back - NO! Not until I talk to the bankruptcy attorney tomorrow.

Then once you have decided what your next step is and if it is bk, then she will have to deal with your attorney and cease and desist communication with you once you file in court.
