I have at least 47000 in debt my benefits got cut at work and i am unable to keep up with payments. will debt settlement work??

Welcome! Since you have registered, a debt counselor will contact you soon. Tell them your concerns about your income and debt - they will tell you up front how the consolidation or settlement will work and whether you will be able to afford it or not.
