Okay before we all get drunk tomorrow night, let us all post our New Years Resolutions here thus we can check back in the stupor of 1/1/07 and see which one we have already broke

Ok, here goes:

Exercise every day - at least a little!
Dispute inaccuracies on my credit reports & get them removed
Walk my dogs twice a day - ties into the exercise thing.
Start saving money in an account without touching it.
Pay off dental & doctor bills incurred within the last 4 months
Start working on small improvements to my house - dishwasher, paint, etc - things I can do without breaking into my savings account.

I don't make resolutions, either. I try to set short and long term goals, instead. For example, last year my long term goal was to get out of debt. My short term goals were to save some money, even a few dollars a week, pay that extra on a bill. I paid off my smallest balance first. That way I could see some progress. Then I took that payment and added it to the next bill, and so on. I also cut down on extras, that saved some too. If I make the goals or resolutions too high, I can't attain them, so I try to make small ones, which cheer me on to others. Happy New Year All..Karen I can't drink either, on too many meds!!

OK...I am going to finish my Master's. Not this year, because I can't afford to go full time, but I'm going to be consistent..I've been working on it for 6 years, and I haven't been to a class in almost 2 years. I hate my job sooooo much, and this is the only way to change that. So, I am going to meet with a counselor in January and I'm going to go to classes, and I won't stop going this time, and I should be done in a little less than 2 years. Please remind me of this in the summer.

I generally don't make resolutions, but I have one major one this year. I will NEVER (and I was taught nere to say never) NEVER take out anothe pdl as long as I live. and when I opened up my new account I had the option of opening a savings account along with the checking account for 5.00. I am going to put money in this account every pay. not a lot but enough so that I will have a little nest egg.

I make faces too...You should see me at work. Customers who call Priceline have no IDEA how we act..LOL If someone is rambling about nothing..I'm waving my arms around as if to say "SPIT IT OUT! I HAVE 15 CALLS IN LINE AND YOU'RE RAMBLING!"

And if someone gets snotty with me, I will not hesitate to imitate them silently to my supervisor who sits directly to my left.

And I've said before....When we put you on hold...You're not really on hold...You're on MUTE..I can hear EVERYTHING you are saying..LOL

Ok, I need to add a resolution I just thought of:

-learn Spanish & French for my job.

I speak to people from all over the world every day...and at least 5-10 times a year we get calls that require translation, and we have no one to do it. And those are just the sales calls, not the parts or service calls. It may not sound like much in the way of calls, but the dollar amount in lost sales could be pretty large.

KS I wanted to take a picture of this lady that was walking in front of me because she had these HORRIBLE boots on....

Have you ever seen the movie Dumb and Dumberer? Where they take that stuffed polar bear and make "Polar Wear" out of it? It looked like that.

They were these fake fur covered fuzzy slipper looking boots. They were god-awful..lol But her husband was behind me, and I know that he would have seen me.

We take all KINDS of pictures....lol

Well, I've started on my resolutions already!

-Walked my doggies twice yesterday afternoon, worked on our big dog's obedience training while we walked. He's SO smart! He's getting "heel" downpat, and this is the first time we've tried it.

-Wrote letters to all three credit bureaus to remove my ex's ssn from my report. For some reason, it still shows up there, and I've been getting credit card offers in the mail in his name. He already accuses me of using his credit (which I never did) after we separated - now I guess I know why. I don't need that crap!

-Later today, I'm writing dispute letters to all three bureaus to dispute items on my reports. I obtained reports when I purchased my house this year, so I have fairly recent ones to work with - that's half the battle!

Hey Sue,

Since you've already started posting how you're doing with your resolutions, what do you say maybe once a week, we post how we're doing with our resolutions, whether it be exercise, saving money, etc.? What do the rest of you think? That way, we will be held accountable to each other.

I think that's a great idea. One of the reasons I hesitate to make resolutions is because somewhere along the line they get forgotten.

My resolutions for this year. Create a budget plan so that everyone gets paid. Already done in Excel.

Walk the dog so that both he and I get exercise.

Get back down to my high school weight.

Start organizing and researching the family geneology.

Help my kids find jobs so their financial lives are improved and I am not asked to be the "safety net".

Learn how to be an online network marketer and start a home business so I can move beyond the limitations of an hourly wage and save and create wealth/savings (even if it's just a little bit at first).

Accomplishements before the new year: So far I paid off CashNetUSA and a storefront loan and got into a program with one of my credit card companies to pay X amount per month in exchange for 0% interest on the card until it's paid off.
