Is there help for a person with $6000 credit card debt but I don't own my home?

There is ALWAYS hope. You registered here as a member, so that entitles you to a free phone call from a debt counselor. You can discuss your debt and financial situation at that time and they can steer you in the right direction. You probably won't get a phone call until Tues. at the earliest because of the holiday.

In the meantime would you like to tell us a little more about your situation? Feel free to browse the forums here and ask/answer questions. Welcome!

Hi, welcome!

You've come to the right place, of course you can get help!

You've registered, so a professional counselor will contact you next week. It sounds like you could definaitely benefit from consolidation, and they can discuss different options with you.

In the meantime, make yourself at home. Browse the forums, and post any questions you might have.

In addition to the help from the professional counselors, by coming to the forum often, you will find a great deal of warmth and compassion from those of us who are dealing with similar situations. You'll also find that you are learning a lot just by visiting and finding out how others are dealing with their debts. Welcome and please visit often.

Welcome to the Community :D There is always hope! I was in the same position and now have mine paid off. Here is a link for you to look at on debt consolidation, its benefits, and debt reduction at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/benefits.html Also, under "Our Services" , there is a wealth of information, such as Ranking chart for the consolidation companies, do it yourself, and sample letters for your creditors. This will give you something to look at, and then discuss with the credit counselor..Good Luck..Karen
