I spoke to allied interstate on the phone the man was very rude and insisted I give him my checking account and routing number for a payment, I told him I would mail a payment, that I did not like to give out my bank information, he said "so, you are refusing to pay then" I said no, I will mail the payment, he refused to give me their address and said it would cost too much money to send another letter out, I never received the first one from them, yes I do owe money, but my husband was out of work for a while and I tried to explain this to him, and then after they have called at least 6 to 7 times a day and today he called three times in 15 mins, he tells me he is not wasting his time with me, well, I will not give out bank account information to a shady company like this. What do I do, I am willing to pay but he refuses to accept payments by mail.

I would send them a letter with receipt verification indicating your intent to pay, outlining your payment plan, and asking them to contact you IN WRITING with the address the checks are to be mailed to. Keep a copy for your records. If they ever tried to take it to court, you would have proof that you had every intention of paying your debt. If you need an address for them, let me know.

Hi Dawna.

Apparently, allied interstate has many branches. Below is the thread which has their different branch addresses. You can contact the one that is nearest to where you live. It's the 10th post down.

The best of luck to you. Let us know if you need anything else.
