Doug,
We just want to feed our children, along with all of those consumers you call everyday threatening them with false claims of arrest in order to extort money from them and take the food from their children's mouths. And by the way, you should really watch that false threat you throw out to those people, you could be charged with extortion, so hopefully one of your victims is reading this and will contact their prosecutor's office because all it take is one phone call to them to get the wheels of justice in motion. And if you don't think a collector has been sent to prison for extortion for that exact same threat, you should really think again.

All you need to do is threaten a person with a false claim in order to collect a debt, and YES you can be charged with extortion for that. And a few collectors have gone to prison by simply calling somebody and saying they would be arrested if they didn't pay their debt. By law when you make such false threats knowing that you can not follow through on them in order to collect cash from a person whether it be for a debt or otherwise, it is extortion.

Keep posting those public threats Doug. It proves one of two things, you are an idiot posting lies, or you are about to become the star on the next episode of America's Stupidest Criminals. And if you are lying, I hope there really isn't a person out there with that name, you just threatened them. Hope they don't live in my state, because here that is considered a cyber crime and you would go to prison for quite sometime.

Someone needs to do a WhitePages search for Maria and let her in on what Doug is trying to do to her. That would be a humane act of kindness to this poor lady. By the way Doug, thanks for letting us know where you live. If this lady can be located and you are only just down the street ... hmmmm think that's enough for the Feds?

Oh by the way extortion has a very broad interpretation. I know of an attorney who was going after someone who embezzled money from his client. He approached opposing counsel and told them that all his client wanted was their money back and if they would pay the money, he would make all the charges go away. The attorney is now serving time in prison for extortion. Extortion is coercion in any form.

I tried to warn him earlier kyside, but he must think others are like him and lie. Well, keep posting Doug, I'm sure your threats caught the eye of some official. And no, we are not lying about that one. I don't really care how protected you think you are with our proxy, there are ways for them to find out who you are and who you are threatening.

HAHAHA! "Squeeler"! Is that the best your pea sized brain could come up with? Believe what you want Doug, people were just trying to help you from continuing with the mistakes. But hey, be my guest, keep posting these threats, we'll see then won't we? I'm still cracking up over the "Squeeler", really? That's the best you could do?

Extortion is not mere coercion. It's not extortion unless you threaten to do something that you don't have the legal right to do.

I have the legal right to stop by Maria's house. You can ask your little Legal Aid Attorney whether it is extortion if I say to Maria, "if you don't pay the debt by Friday, let's just say that I may have to stop by one of the houses that you are cleaning."

Oh and now you're a legal expert? I don't work with legal aid attorneys. I work for a prominent law firm in the the city where I live and we are comprised of three floors of attorneys who would love to eat you for breakfast. Oh yea, we have contacts in Illinois too. I would love to share your posts at our next planning meeting.

I don't mean to be dense............ I've followed this board for a while and I know that Dennis Williams user name is Marcia Brady's Lovechile. Are you implying that this "Doug Danger" is him? Please respond............ The "inside jokes" aren't fun to read.

I agree, guest. Dung is one big loser. You notice he's working with illegal means in a company he said is basically operating legally, meaning, of course, that the only "skills" he has are trying to scare people into paying. I'd be embarrassed to have to tell people that I had a job like that. It doesn't say much for your intelligence, does it? All you have to do is go around threatening and harrassing people illegally. He needs to go back to school and get a real job.

I don't understand the motives of those who come on here and just start trashing people they don't even know? It's like they get some kind of sick and perverse pleasure out of. And for the record, Doug Danger, you must not be a very good collector because otherwise you would be on here bragging about how much money you have made off of your clients, instead of whining and telling us how tough you are.

We don't need this baloney on here. I have read your posts before and you never say anything positive or encouraging. Go away kid, ya bother me!

Wow...ridiculous, BUT...his (or her because who knows if Doug is male or female) posts just add to the negativity debtors have towards debt collectors. I have had some nightmare experiences with CA's and some that have been...dare I say...fantastic to work with. I just paid off my final debt last October and it is a great relief. I learned about dealing with creditors and CA's early on. As long as I was treated respectfully and provided with the information I was legally entitled to, I worked with them to pay the debt quickly. If they harrassed...I did not reply. I knew it would be sold to another agency and I just hoped they would be better. During the course of becoming debt free, I filed two lawsuits claiming fdcpa. One I won and one just died in the courts because the company closed up. Oh well. I have never understood why the CA's behave so agressively or why they are allowed to.

Kristen, I agree that there are collectors who are very good at their job and a pleasure to work with. We have some on the forums that give very informative posts.

Doug says he works for a reputable company that has a special department that deals with illegal means of collecting on bad debts. In other words, he doesn't have the class to be with the "good guys" - the collectors who will work with you. He's one of the "bad guys."
