Could you send the payments to the original creditor instead of dealing with lmp?

Is LMP a debt consolidation company, or a collection agency? If you can give us a little more information about your situation, it would help us to help you.

If you are speaking of a collection agency, most creditors will not accept a payment once the debt has been sold to a collection agency, because they do not retain the file information once it's been sold.

If you can give us a little more info, I'm sure we'll be able to give you better advice. :-)

In some cases you can continue to send a pmt to the creditor but you will still recieve calls until the situation is resolved by which ever collection agency is holding the account.

If the account is sold, no longer owned by the original creditor, then you no longer have the option to make any payments to the creditor because they have severed all ties to you.
