what happens if you default on a payday loan?? i have gotten myself in way to deep with them and i was going to stop payment on one cause i cant get my bills paid.

Tammy I answered you in a previous post. Nothing is going to happen to you. If these are storefront then they can take you to court. You will have to make some kind of arrangement with storefront. There are no debtors prisions anymore. Calm down and take charge of this situation. I know personally how stressful it is. If I can help any way I will be glad to. KYSIDE38

Storefront PDLs are much easier to work with than internet PDLs. My daughter defaulted on a storefront loan because she had not job and her husband in the military cut off her dependent support. The storefront eliminated the interest rate and just asked her to pay the principal back. It took her a while to find a job and all they did was call every two weeks to get a status report on her situation.

The worst an internet PDL will do is send you to a very nasty collection agency and harrass the heck out of you. I have yet to hear of an internet PDL to try and sue somebody. The majority of them are illegal and they over charge on their interest rates.

Barry,
What PDL are you dealing with? Just about every internet company has been discussed on the website. If you register a credit counselor will contact you to discuss options for you.

Check out this website paydayloaninfo.org and see if they have been following your state laws. No matter what state the PDL is in, they are required to follow the laws of the state you live in.
Also, don't worry...you are not the only person who feels like an idot, I was batteling 15 PDL's myself and there are other members who have dealt with even more.
Defaulting on a PDL or any debt will not give you a criminal record, they are just throwing a bunch of Bull at you.
Is it just plain FastCash or USFastCash?

I hate when PDLs do this to people. First things first, be real careful with internet pdls as they will transfer your account to attorneys who are not attorneys. Instead they are collection agencies who use the term "The Law Office".

PDLs are illegal in some states so you need to look at your state's law to find out information on them. You may be entitled to be free of your loan completely and you may demand money back from them. I am currently working on that right now.

Don't let these swines cause you to lose sleep at night because they constantly do this to individuals like us who are just trying to do the right thing.
