Is this your ex-wife or are you still legally married? I ask because if you are, isn't she just as liable for the credit cards? As for bankruptcy, if the debt is relatively "new" sometimes it can't be part of the bankruptcy.

Though the title gives a different idea, the topic is very much real I must say. A counselor can help you to pay the accrued debts back.

Stop blaming you wife! Did she hold a gun to your head and make you do those things? We are all responsible for what we do, and the first step to recovery of any kind is to acknowledge the problem with ourself and move on. Best of luck to you.
