Question About Debt to Bank of America
Date: Mon, 01/08/2007 - 14:40
I was negative in my bank of america checking account by $448.00. I was told my account was closed. According to bank terms I know they could have dipped into my account with another bank affiliated with Bank of America to take it. They did not do this instead they closed my account.
It appears according to my credit report that the account was sold to NCO financial who to my garnished the amount out of my savings account without even trying to settle with me.
Are they affiliated with Bank of America? If not.. how were they able to just take the money without even trying to settle with me

Did you dispute this with your bank? I would do this and try to resolve the matter. I would think you need to be notified if somebody is going to take money out of your account(s).

Several months. It was in the negative because I was disputing a purchase. I did not feel that I received what I bought. I did not replace the money in the account because I knew I would never see it again.
As of now I neither have the service that I purchased or the money that I purchased it with.
I also had an account with BOA and NCO started collecting on it.
I also had an account with BOA and NCO started collecting on it. They placed it on my CR and I disputed and it was then deleted. Not sure why, but it was :D I called BOA and they transferred me to the recovery department. I am actually able to pay them every month instead of fooling with NCO. They still send letters and call about 1 time a month, since I told them that I was paying BOA direct and hung up on them. :) The name of the company that I pay to is Baltimore Recovery Services and they are part of BOA. They are very nice ppl also..

Boa authorized 1200. And now the letters being sent have different amounts the overdrawn account was closed with--where has the money previously taken been credited--and why the hell did they authorized a 1200 oayment from account with no funds
