I have been to the site before and now I am here again, this time asking for info. and help. I have several PDLs and Im at the point of not knowing what to do. I know from reading that you need info to give advice, so here is mine. One of my loan are from the internet paydayselect.com and the other two are store front. I have spoken to them (the store front) and so far they seem to be willing to work with me. However, I did look up info for my state (which is arkansas) and it says they can take me to court if the check is returned for NSF or if the account is closed or stop payment has been put on the account. I had no choice but to put stop pay on everything that came through, my account was like 1200.00 overdrawn and charges from these places just kept coming in. So now Im really scared to death, they will take me to court. I contacted paydayselect and they seem not to want to work with me at all. I have paid no telling how much intrest on this loan that I have had with them for way over a yr. now. I dont dispute the fact that I do owe the money,i took out the loans but now my husband is laid off and its all I can do to pay the rent and utilities with my check. Can anyone PLEASE HELP?? Please tell me what to do. Can you find out more about this paydayselect place for me, will they work with people? Can they take me court if Im still making at least some sort of payment to them by mail each week? Please help, Im really begging. I have 3 kids here and am so scared. I worry myself sick that they will call my job and get me fired they I cant feed my kids for sure. Please let me know what to do or not to do.
Thank You, Terri Ann

You need to file a complaint with your state's AG against the internet pdl. And if the storefronts have agreed to a payback arrangement, why would they take you to court? I mean, they could and get a judgement. But just be honest and upfront with the storefronts and send whatever you can. You should file that complaint against paydayselect and demand they mark you paid in full if you have been paying on it for over a year now, it seems they have gotten more than the principal and legal interest rate back by now.

It is better to file complaints with the State AG as well as with the Dept of Financial Institutions. The AG regulates the businesses and the DFI issues the licenses to the companies that are allowed to do business in the state. If one company is not licensed in the state, it needs to be notified to the concerned authorities and the complaints to be posted with the AG's office.
