I have just been informed by ICS that I have paid a total of $2400 on a $200 loan via ACH debit since December 2005. I was also told that I need to pay an additional $289 to have the loan paid off. I live in the state of Louisiana and the $89 that is being taken out is so called extension fees. Is this legal and can I get some of my much needed money back.

Hello, Go to paydayloaninfodotorg and look up the law in your state. But I would say enough is enough dont give them another dime. Check your secretary of states website to see if they are licensed to do business in your state . Which they probably are not. Send complaints in to the Attorney Generals consumer division in your state. This is loan sharking. Best Wishes Kyside38

Talk to your bank about this matter. They will dispute the charges with ICS and help in getting some of your money back. You can also pursue legal actions with the help of an attorney. ICS cannot keep more than the required amount in your account. They will have to refund it. Recite them your state laws and get your account marked closed. Get the PIF letter from them.
