someone used our phone number on their credit forms and now we are being harrassed several times a day we get calls for someone we don't know.we have told them several times not to call this number and they do not believe us.

Write a letter to the supervisor of the company explaining your point. Make them verify the name of the person they are looking for and that it doesn't match with your info.
Better way is to change your phone number and get a new connection if your explanation is going nowhere.
