I received a call for a debt consolidation

I think that is who called me too and I am not sure. I hear mixed things. i think the company is consumer credit counseling of america or CCCA.

I too am looking for a legitimate company.

I received a call from CCCA as well when I registered with this site. I decided not to go with them and chose a local non for profit company here in my town. I found them on the nfcc.org website and they were very helpful. Everybody's situation is different and you should at least research a couple of companies before you decide on one. I just liked the fact that I could sit with my counselor face to face and being that we were in the same state she knew the laws pretty well.
