Anyone Familiar with this company? They offered me a $5000.00 dollar loan BUT they want a $500.00 down payment for it because of my credit score. Is anyone familiar?

That sounds like an advanced fee loan. Those are bad news. Read this about those types of loans:

Yeah something just seems a little wierd about that. They are wanting money from you to give you money right back. Usually that only happens when you are getting an item in return...like a car.
