I just had a call from my HR Director about a letter she received from CTC demanding that my company send them money! Not a garnishment, but they wanted my check! I told HR that I was filing bk and under no circumstances send these people money. My HR Director said that she would deal with them.

Laverne--

Even though CTC is not licensed in your state, you should still pay back the principle plus the interest allowed by your state. As a matter of fact, if I were you, I would take the offer that they gave you to settle so you can be done with them!! If they are willing to settle with $378 on a $700 loan, you better take the offer and run!!

I too have dealt with them and am still dealing with them, they will continue to send your account to numerous collection agencies but don't give in. I even tried sending a cashiers check for the amount in full but it was sent back refused" I too am doing a bankruptcy, they can keep bothering you until you have a court case number. Make sure once you have the case # make sure your attorney sends a copy to your payroll dept.

How old is your account with cashnetusa? Did they offer any kind of settlement? I don't want to send them a money gram or a western union, cost too much, I can't afford the fee on top of what they are requesting that I send.
Did they offer you a settlement? If so, how much did they knock off?

yes they offered me an settlement the money gram only cost 5.50 to 8.50 i asked so that is taken care of but i want to get them off my back you said you sent a cahier check to ctc this i s what the people are telling me to send it came back, now what? they money gram is going to be sent to what is called ecare but i will indicate that it is for the settlement of cashtransfers center/northway financial hopely this will work for me. they say they will update with teletrack and send me a letter of pif after they receive this money. cash net usa is from dec 8th they say it is 90 days old, they will let me pay in installment but not settle, they want the full payment which is 847 dollars this include the fee i cost them when the withdrawal returned back to them. so negfieknight what do you say?

Laverne--

Congratulations on your PIF with CTC. Just make sure you save that email they sent you stating that you are PIF just in case CTC might try to come back and get more money later on. Also, I've never heard of Cash Options. If they are threatening that they can garnish your wages, the wage revocation letter that you gave your payroll dept early on to cover yourself should take care of this one also, if you stated in your wage revocation letter that you were revoking all wage assignments from anyone that might try to pull one.

thank you brownsugar i did state on the wage assignment all payday loans, not just one , because i new that would be the ones that would problemly try to go there and my job just see a wage assinment donot look on it just do it. i am happy do have the letter iam keeping my email and printed out some copies of the letter for the records if they try to come back the only way they will come back is if they use another name i dont know this is why i am tring to see who cash options is i know it is an alias because i never got a loan from any one under that name.

I also have filed bk, and if i understand it correctly, they cannot garnish your wages, it is against the law, if they try, give the letter to your lawyer and your lawyer will contact them, to tell them that you did file for bk.

good luck.
