I am not late on my credit card payments, no over credit limits but owe 70k. If I decide to go through this program, how will it effect my credit? I several credit cards at a 0% interest right now that are max. out.

Grace take advice from the counselor that will be calling you its free and they deal with debt issues dailey. Hope they can come up with a plan thats right for you. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

The main advantage of taking the program at this stage will be lower interest rates from what you are paying at present. You will have a reduced payment plan. If you are expecting to miss the payments in the future, this program will be the right choice at this moment. The creditors always rate you at the highest if you can manage payments on your own. But if it's a problem doing it, consolidation is much better than leaving your accounts in delinquent state and then catching it up later, probably through this program only.
