I sent Rio (working through tendollarpaydayloan.com in my case) a form letter a few months ago, and after not hearing anything from them in like, 2 months, this is what they send me:

Ok, so I'm not stupid enough to give them my new account information or my credit card number, but would it just be easier to send them a moneygram?? Or would that be like admitting that they are right and that I actually owe them money? I mean, it's $9.00!! Should I cave or ignore??? Thanks guys!

They have been ordered by Oklahoma to cease and desist operating all together and that includes to consumers from other states. I believe they have been ordered to stop collecting on all outstanding loans. You should let them know you are aware of this. And if all they want is $9, then send them a money order.

OK. What is THIS supposed to mean?

Quote:

You need to do what you have to but I can already tell you that taking that step has never helped someone that owes this company money. You can choose to have your attorney contact this office. I am not threatened because you????????re stating you????????re sending correspondence to any other party because I know the steps that will be taken so you????????re dealing with the wrong person. I am making sure I provide you with all the information to eliminate this company from any and all false accusations. I have sent the balance inquiry and statement via email and it will also come to your mailing address. The other information you????????re requesting can be confirmed by your banking institution easily. Also, I am now emailing you a release form so you are provided proof of your online loan contract that you entered into. You need to fully complete this release form and have it signed by a notary public so that I can release your contract. If this is not done then you will not get the contract. Again, this contract was available to you when you applied for this loan. You could????????ve printed it out for your records. We can go the long way if you want to but we????????re going to end up the same way after you do so try not to drag out this process. Thanks

All I asked for what a copy of my contract with the company.

What the HECK??
