Well I was at work and evryone knows how the loans places say "were going to send the cops to your house work etc. Well last week someone told me that and in the following week I see two cops coming in my place where I work I about fainted, whooo you all just dont know how real that felt that moment! I know you cant go to jail for debt as well as a loan but it scared me. They were coming because my boss recieved three threating calls she says from an indian he said he was going to blow this place up. I though to my self mabey it was for me but yet the receptionist said they asked for her by name, Odd huh?

Tasha, I can relate to you. At first I belived their threats also. I would see the police on my street and just about freak out. The sad thing was I didnt owe them they owed me. Never again will I ever put my self in that kind of situation. KYSIDE38

I will never forget the very first threat I received. It was from the famous Ellis Crosby and the womans name was Jennifer. She stated that my husband had been arrested and that I had til 5pm to pay $849.00 to get him out of jail. I was so scared I called my mom and she told me to call the sheriffs department and report them. I did and the officer who responded stated that he had not been arrested! Your heart just about stops and it is definately the worst feeling in the world.

Seeing Tasha's thread reminded me of a dream that I had a few months prior me joining this wonderful board. I had dreamed that the payday loan I was paying off would not let me make my last payment because they kept trying to give me money. They were persistent trying to put the check in my hand making me get the loan. Then the police were coming in and taking me away with the check in my hand and I was screaming and crying for help as the wicked ones (PDL) was looking on saying "Pay you debt. Pay your debt"

Just one of the weirdest dreams I have ever had in my life. It scared the crap out of me.

WOW.....I can definitely identify, Alexandra. I once had such a mess in my checking account that checks were bouncing left and right, and I was struggling to get everything covered before the next check was returned and started all over again. I had a dream that I went to the store and they wouldn't accept my CASH PAYMENT...they said my cash wasn't any good!

I woke up sweating from that one.

I know what you all mean. I first came across this board AFTER I had already caved in out of fear and paid Bass & Asociates something like $700. They had called me and threatened to send the cops out to my work. And, since I initiated the PDL by email (internet), it was wire fraud. And, since I work at a bank and used my work email address, they would have to alert my employer. I was so scared, I called my mom, who happens to be a judge. She does workers comp, so she didn't know about these charges and if they could really do it. She lent me the money to pay them, and has been after me ever since to pay her back. After I saw all the posting about Bass & Associates, I felt like a sucker! Well...about 2 months later, I got another call from them saying they had another IPDL that was sent to them for collections in my name. I told them to stuff it and that I only had that one IPDL that I had paid off earlier. Of course, they said I was wrong, the police would be coming to get me, yadda yadda yadda. I told them to not call me anymore, and that my attorney (my mom, of course) would be contacting them if they pursued this any further. THey left me alone after that. It's nice to say that my mom is a judge and will go after them if they do anything wrong. That usually stops them in their tracks. LOL!! Ain't I a stinker......
