I'm not from Indiana, but I've dealt with Rt. 66 myself. I kept reminding them that they were operating illegally in my state, that they were breaking laws by doing so...they said "what about the law that says you have to pay your bills?" "our company is not making any money on your loan" "don't you want to be honest and pay your bills?" and so on and so forth. They WILL try to make you feel guilty, and when that doesn't work, they're quite likely to start yelling and making threats. But that's all they are...threats. They do not have a legal leg to stand on, and they know it. If you have paid them in full, or overpaid them, according to your state payday law, you need to stand strong and refuse to pay them anything else. This company is one of the worst to deal with.

tweety - go to paydayloaninfo.org to find your state payday lending law. When you get to that page, click on "state information" on the left side of the page, then click on your state on the map that comes up. You'll find your state's law, as well as what governing body to complain to about these lenders.
