Stay in touch with everyone. You will learn many things here because people having real experiences share their opinions. What is the situation with your debts? Are they still within the SOL catch?

They are all out of the statute of limitations they are all 5+ years old. What do you reccommend that I say to the collections agents that still call? When I mentioned SOL on the phone today they got all huffy and were like "so you don't intend to pay because of SOL?" I said I never said I don't intend to pay but I do request a verification of the debt. She was so rude. Do I legally have to repay these?

The debt will still remain valid even if the SOL expires. They have the rights to report in your credit copy and this will hurt your credit scores. If you decide to pay, it will slightly improve your already tarnished credit.
Legally, the debt collectors cannot take you to the court because the statutes have already expired. You need to write a dispute letter mentioning the expiry of the SOL. All collection attempts must stop after they receive your letter.

From all the info that I have gathered here, if October 2003 was when you last made a payment, then it is out of SOL if it is 3 years. Just don't make a payment or it will start all over. Make sure that that was the last payment by requesting the validation. I am no expert but from what I have gathered from this forum this is the law.

Did you send a debt validation letter? If not you need to. If they truly own this account they should be able to provide you all information that you need. If not contact the original debtor and find out who owns the account. If the SOL has expired, you are not held accountable by any of them, but you need to have your facts to go fight them. Goodluck.
