He is still requesting that I pay $79 (not to mention that PDL are illegal in my state, and I have already paid them way over the principal) before he will mark it PIF. I have told him about complaints with everyone and he still says that he will turn it over to the big, bad, INVESTIGATIONS DEPARTMENT. :lol: Any suggestions??

They called me at least 30 times a day at home and at work AND on Thanksgiving. I was paying them monthly through a program I was in at the time, had the checks to prove it, and they STILL kept saying they hadn't gotten anything. And to make matters worse, they said I owed something like $800 off a $200 loan.
When I had paid the orginal loan in full, I filed a police report which I let them know about the next time they called me. At that time they said "Oh, we'll mark your account paid in full!" Also mention your rights under the fdcpa and let them know you are documenting each time they call.

Nat, Call your AG office and ask to speak to somebody. Tell them what this company is doing. They are illegal there and if you want to get technical you didnt even have to pay the principal. Your state follows the same rules as mine. Dont give them another dime. KYSIDE38
