Can anyone recommend a legitimate credit monitoring service? I've been using truecredit.com, but I would like to look into some others.

A good credit monitoring service should instantly make you aware if your identity is stolen. The frequency of monitoring is something you need to think about. Services with different companies vary, providing daily, weekly or monthly monitoring. If there is any suspicious activity in your file, your service provider should be able to catch it. Alerts can be sent via e-mail, phone, mail or text messaging. The service will only notify the changes happened but you have to investigate and take actions.

A good credit monitoring service will charge from a $39 per year for a very basic, one bureau monitoring service, to $200 per year for a premium, 3 bureau monitoring service.
