How long have you been paying on these loans? Most here have had to block these companies from their accounts or close and open a new one in order to gain control back. It may be that if you have been paying on these ipdls for some time in roll over fees you might have paid back the principal and legal interest your state allows.

The laws say that payday loans are illegal in your state. So technically you are only liable for the amount borrowed, and are entitled to a refund for any amount above that you paid to them. Not the easiest thing to get refunds from them, but you have a good leg to stand on the get them marked paid in full.

You should close your bank account so that they can't keep taking money out whenever they want. That will allow you to regain control of your finances and pay them back (if you legally owe them) on your terms, not theirs. Otherwise they will continue taking money out of your account, and you could be hit with a lot of money in NSF fees . . . .

How much were the loans you took out? If they are paid for then you aren't repsonsible for paying more. I would say it's time for you to close your bank account asap . . . . Open a new one and start writing letters to your pdl's . . . . You will find a good example on Polly's blog . . . . But I'd suggest putting everything in your own words and just using Polly's letter as a guide . . . . . You also need to file complaints with your attorney general. They can help you get your loans marked paid in full.

These people took money out of my account from Jan 07 to July 07 when I stopped it with my bank. I found a contacy person's name in Whois Record on Business.com. It looks like they are based out of Lee's Summit, MO. I have an attorney now and am going after them. Good luck to you all.
