Has anyone had dealings with the Brennan law firm? I signed up with them late last year, and have made two payments of 178 to them, but they have not even contacted the lenders I put on my list. The lenders are driving me crazy, and I don't know what to do. I just want to make sure these guys are reputable and aren't taking my money for nothing. Thanks.

Enter "brennan" on the google search bar on the top left of the page - you will find MANY threads with multiple entries on this topic.

To be safe in entering a contract or agreement with any debt consolidation or settlement agency, always check their reputation with the Better Business Bureau before signing anything.

Ouch. I didn't do due diligence, stupidly. I figured since I was referred to CCA from this site, and then RAB law firm from there, it was on the up and up. I am going to talk to one of the attorneys in our firm about invalidating the contract. Heck, I can do what they're doing, which is nothing.

Usually accounts are put in defaults for at least five to six months before creditors are called and proposals are placed by settlement companies. You should also have the money in your account asked by the settlement company. It will be used for doing the negotiations.

The two payments that you did to RAB law firm went to your account only that was opened for settlement purpose. You will have that money back after canceling the contract. I am saying the general process of a settlement program. I have no idea about this particular company.

Call RAB and ask when they are expecting to contact the creditors. Mention that you are getting regular calls from your creditors and they are already aware of hiring a settlement company, but they don't stop calling you. If RAB is unable to convince you, get the contact cancelled.

History repeating itself. If the first didn't do it, the second is just as bad? That what I'm getting from mcranberra's post? So, the suggestion is, throw more money down another deep, dry well?

And it takes six months to get the ball rolling?

Not being nit picky here but.....had a herd bull one time? It didn't produce, my dad paid damn good money for thing. Changed herd bulls the following year, lo & behold the next spring ol tca here was up to my hairline in calves.

The first bull went to the sale yard, earned 4th place in the dog food line....think ralston purina bought it or was it mickey d's?
