I just graduated from college in May 2006. I have over 50,000 in school loans, which would not be so hard to pay if i could get my other debts down. I have a 2,000 dollar credit card bill and a 500 dollar old navy bill. I racked these both up in college trying to buy books and clothing and stuff. I also have a baby on the way and know, this will only put me more in debt. Any suggestions? Im not too bad yet, but i want to avoid never ahead of these bills.

Welcome to the Community :D Congrats on the new baby!! Have you talked with your creditors directly about the bills? Sometimes they will drop the interest, etc., if you will commit to paying it off. I did this with one of my sons cc. If you don't get any help, wait about 15 minutes, and call back and try that person. Sounds silly, but I have done this, up to 5 times and got some help! Good Luck!..Karen

Consolidate your debts at a lower interest rate. Some fees will also be waived off and your total debt will come down. The debt counselor will work out an easy plan for you.

Use the strategy given in this page http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/steps.html and start contacting your creditors. You will possibly get some arrangements done.
