Defaulted student loan with Allied Interstate

I have been trying to pay off my defaulted student with allied interstate. But when I ask to get the amount due sent to me in writing, they inform me that they can not without my bank account number to set up a payment plan. This is crazy. I would pay it off if they sent a bill. Any help.

Speaking from experience, I would NOT give them any type of personal information. I don't know if they have contacted you originally by letter, but here is their mailing address:

I would write to them, send it return receipt (you don't have to send it certified) just so you know. As long as you have the return receipt as proof.

They have to tell you what this is for and send you the dollar amount you owe. Also, if they are harrassing you, tell them in the letter that you only want them to correspond with you at your mailing address only...no more phone calls.

I'm sure a lot of other people could help you better.
