This is awful!! In the 11 years I've lived up north I have never seen this kind of snow or been this cold..We've got blizzard conditions, the roads are a mess, it's 8 degrees, and I'm freakin' stuck in the house!!

We have an avalanche in the driveway..I should try and clean it up so my husband can pull into the driveway when he gets home, but I can't shovel very well, I don't know how to run the snowblower, and it's too friggin' cold. I can't go running, and the treadmill isn't cutting it for me..I need to move!!!
I can't even watch NFL network, because the satelite reception is going in and out, I'm about to go up on the roof and clean the damn thing off!!

So am I just an overly dramatic southerner, or is the weather really this bad? How's the weather for you guys?

I took me 2 hours to drive home from work tonight - a 15 minute drive! I didn't eve have my foot on the gas peddle - just coasted all the way home.
Then I get stuck trying to get into my drive way! I am not going into work tomorrow! I don't think that I will be able to get out of the drive and they are calling for blizzard conditions during the night.@@###$$$! The mayor of cleveland is telling everyone to stay off the roads so that is what I am going to do.

I'm glad the ice/freezing rain missed us. I feel bad for you and Jessi, Steelers. I know how dangerous those driving conditions can be. I think it's going to take my husband quite a while to dig out our driveway today. He's going to wait to see if it warms up a bit. The sun is shining this morning and it is actually very pretty outside. But now there is a windchill advisory out until tomorrow. His boss called him this morning to see if you could come in. His boss got a little nasty with him but hubby told him no because we are under a Level 3 here. I guess a lot of guys that live a lot closer are calling in as well. If we go out today, we could get arrested for being non emergency. I don't think it's worth the risk and that's what he told his boss.

Ok yesterday was pull BULL$%#*! LOL Tell me why we normally have FIFTY people working the floor at my Priceline facility alone...Guess how many we had yesterday? FOUR!

One person..ME..taking sales calls....One person taking CCC calls...One person in Hotel TS, and one person in Air TS....

BULL#&$*! We had other facilities open in PA, and Nashville, and one in FL....BUT at MINE only us 4. I was sooooo upset. I had non stop calls ALL day...Just one small break..and to get that, I had to "accidentally" disconnect my phone.....

My throat hurts so bad....And if I hear one more person say, "I'm sick of the snow..I don't know where I want to go...Just somewhere hot.." You're going to see me on the news...Because I will have gone on a rampage.

I got stuck in my neighborhood yesterday morning 4 times on my way to work yesterday, and the roads that I take to work still suck. GAHHHHHHHHHH! OH, and Plain city's temp right now is -1. It's warmed up since last night when it was -5. I won't even give you a clue to the dirty words that were coming out of my mouth last night when I saw that. I will say that they definately were NOT ladylike....lol

I can say right now is a great time to be unemployed LOL! Sorry Jessi, I can relate to where you are coming from. I had a forty-five mile commute on my last job, one way. I live in the country and our road gets bad when it snows. My one boss lived ten minutes from work but I usually beat him into work. I had to leave before the chickens woke up. Once I was late, called in, and he docked me two hours pay. I had to get ahold of his boss to get that taken care of. The roads are better here today but hubby is leaving extra early this morning so he can be to work on time.

Then when I went to get out os the house, I couldn't get our of the back door - had to go through the front and fell into a drift up to my waist! It took us six hours just to make a path to the drive and do the berm! I HATE THIS S#$T!!!

I am about to stomp a mudhole on Mother Nature's very own A$$. This sucks. When I first moved to this friggin' arctic land everyone said "oh no, it's not like wisconsin, we don't get much snow.." That's a bunch of S**T. I was lied to.

When the hell does this end? I swear, I would give anything to move back home right now. I am so damn sick and tired of bad roads..And then today my windshield wipers blew a fuse, and of course the terrific folks at Chrysler didn't include a spare fuse in the fuse box.

My wipers are covered in ice....And it's too cold to be worried about it right now...

I can't take it anymore either Fins....Let's quit. We'll move to Aruba...Not only are they warm ALL year..They're out of the hurricane belt..

Now we could be kidnapped and sold into forced prostitution...But that could be a small price to pay to never deal with snow again...***kidding***

I'm getting sick of the bad roads also. I am not allowed to call of work during snow emergencies and that includes level 3 emergencies, and I have had to drive in this crap all week and it has been very dangerous I have to spend my day driving from one end of the county to the other end and it SUCKS!

I haven't been out of the house since monday. I'm getting out today because they are calling for another three inches tomorrow on top of the foot that we already have. Walking through the yard can be dangerous at times. I feel for you Steelers. Be careful out there. I'm ready to move to Florida. I'll buy a big van so we can all go together :-)

Well, this morning I was able to go for a run!! It was the first time I've been able to run OUTSIDE for 2 weeks, and it was great..

But then it got nasty again. I blew a fuse..My windshield wipers and turn signals. That was sexy..Of course I was about to make a turn when it happened, I had to stick my arm out the window to show I was turning. So I was able to pull over and take the fuse box cover off..There was an extra fuse, but I couldn't get it out..I tugged and tugged, and it went flying and went under my seat. I had to get out and kneel down so I could get it, and of course it landed in melting snow from my shoes, so I had to dry it off..What's next?

Fins,

It sounds like you have the same kind of luck that I do LOL! I'm a clutz by nature so things go flying around me all of the time :-) It's snowing here this morning. They are calling for another three inches. "sigh" Yesterday, it was decent out during the afternoon. I'm going to be making scarves today with some extra yarn I have. I don't feel like going out today. I've alreay played in the snow with the puppies this morning. My little pekingnese loves the snow and he's like a little clown out there :-)

I know this has nothing to do with the weather, but in Milan they had a case of road rage. A woman stopped at a stop sign and a guy got out of his vehicle and started yelling profanities and pointed a gun at the womans head. Thank goodness someone seen what was going on and called the police. She stated she was driving a little slow, and she guessed he was aggrevated because he couldn't get around her. GOes to show there are weirdos everywhere.

I was just coming home from work and this fool was behind me all the way down the one main road I was taking he is flipping me off! The way that the road was plowed after the blizard left it a one laner and it is snowing so badly at this time that the road is now snow covered again! What a jerk! When we finally got to a cleared area he took off like a shot and did dounuts in the street.

I was so happy that it was snowing til my windshield CRACKED!!!! It decided to turn to ice for a while and I was running the defrosters to thaw the ice enough I could see and I heard a pop and the crack went all across my windshield. This will be the second windshield this year. Now I am pissed and I officially hate the snow!!
