What you are saying is; you are a legal resident of New York State & even though you most likely had prior knowledge of your state's law against iPDL & PDL loans, you violated it anyway.

Actually, "no" I did not have prior knowledge of PDL's being illegal in NYS. Only after I was unable to pay them back and started doing research did I learn that they are in fact "illegal".

Thereisaway, you need to file your complaints with the AG and the dept that regulates these companies. New York does take a stand against these guys when they are reported. You should also demand they mark your accounts paid in full if you have already paid the principal and legal interest rate your state allows in those roll over fees. Also file a complaint against the companies with their own AG's office, I found out when I did this that a few weren't even licensed in the state's they operated in!
