I got into a title loan back in early 06 to repair it and did great every month until I got an eye injury and was in the hospital and missed 2 payments.. I couldn't make up the payments nor did I have any credit to get a new auto loan so I had to give the vehicle to the title loan company and they sold it at aution 2 and 1/2 months later and I got a letter today that says I still owe 1100 more dollars to clear up the debt... what are my recourses... I just started getting credit as I got a loan from a finance co. to buy my used vehicle I have now... some day I want to get a house... any suggestions

You may request the loan company to show copies of the auctions papers and confirm the sale amount. You are still liable to pay if there is any outstanding balance on it.

Clear up the bad patches in your credit report. This is going to hinder your credit potential when you are purchasing a house. I mentioned some tips on credit repair in this page.
