I have overextended myself financially. My current loan/credit crad payments are barely covered by my monthly income.

You must consider some professional help now and catch up on your payments. The debts are multiplying with high interest rates on every default. Moreover, there is a risk of creditors taking you to the court. Once you put the debts under a payment plan, a lot of weight will be off from your shoulders.
What kind of debts you have? Do you know the latest status of each account? Pull your latest credit copy from the credit bureau and find out the exact picture. It will be easier to discuss your accounts with the consultant and prepare a payment plan.
