Anna Nicole Smith Dies

OMG! She just had her baby. I haven't been home most of the day but I haven't heard it on the radio stations. What happened?

So sad, I feel sorry for the new baby..Anna was going through so much....more than I thought after I read the story on cnn :cry:

They don't know why yet, I guess she collapsed in a hotel room earlier today.

You know you have to feel sorry for her and feel bad over her death. But she did what I always wanted to do - marry a rich old man and just take care of him.

There's still time! You may still meet the rich old man of your dreams . . . . You just have to hang out at the right places . . . . Or do it her way, and become a stripper.

I really don't think that there is much of a calling for strippers my age - I once told my kids that I may have to peddle my a$$ on the corner for gas money and they told me I probably wouldn't get bus fare! It is not that I am ugly or fat I am just an aging Viet Nam War Protester!

The news reports are assuming it was a drug-related death, but no confirmations yet. I do feel sorry for the baby. Was it ever determined who the baby's father really is? I know court ordered a DNA test to determine this, but whether Anna Nicole had actually had the test done by the date the court gave, I never heard.

Ten of the united States finest died as well!

I don't know . . . . But I'm sure the fight over the poor baby is really going to heat up now . . . . As sad as that may be.

I can almost guarantee drugs had something to do with it. It's just too weird. And I don't for a minute believe she lost all that weight taking that stuff she was promoting...and now THAT company is fighting a class action lawsuit for misleading advertising.

Another strange turn in the long soap opera that was Anna Nicole's life. How sad that this turn was the last, and that her baby will grow up without a mother...or possibly a father, depending on the outcome of THAT mess. I wouldn't be surprised to see that baby end up with someone other than the two men claiming to be her biological father.

i just read in the news and i didnt believe she die of natural causes.i'm very sad for her and for her
little baby that lost her mother.

Chris and I met up for dinner, and he told me about it.

I think it's very sad. I've always thought she would be a likable person to know.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was drug related. I have to say if I had the paparazzi up my butt every minute of my life, and the media reporting every move i make--And probably spinning it out of context to make me into what they want me to be, I'd probably do drugs too. Celebrities personal lives are non of our business. I don't care if they're on TV or movies, or who they are. That's their job. I don't have people taking pictures of me when I walk out of the door of my job. And I've never been on the news for anything I've done.

It also wouldn't suprise me if it was a heart problem, or some other health problem that did it. She's been under unbelievable stress these last few months.

Anytime a baby loses his mother or father is sad. I was just reading about Anna Nicole's death on the internet and her son's just months before. That's just so tragic.

Actually her whole life was tragic!

yes, it was....unfortunately, a lot of it was her own doing. But the last year has been exceptionally tragic, and not all of it was her doing. While I don't agree with her lifestyle and the way she's handled certain aspects of her public life (her private life is hers alone, but she's chosen to make a lot of it public), I do feel badly for everyone affected by her death, and her son's - especially her little daughter.

I don't know what news was more shocking today - Anna Nicole's death, or the father that sexually abused one of his young daughters, then knocked his 2-yr-old daughter unconscious and took her outside, leaving her in the single-digit temperatures to die. She woke up, wandered around, then died of exposure. Both stories were so sad and tragic.

Sue, I didn't hear about the second story. It just astounds me how people can do these things to their children and call themselves parents!

OMG Sue that is horrible! That man is a monster and should be tied up outside in the cold and freeze to death himself. Anyone that would hurt a defenseless child is not human to me.

I know - I couldn't believe it. It was first reported that he got angry because she wouldn't go to bed, so he knocked her unconscious and left her outside to freeze to death...then it was reported that he admitted sexually molesting the other child, then knocking the younger one out and dumping her outside. She was frozen when they found her. It just makes me sick. There's evidence that she woke up and walked around before lapsing back into unconsciousness and dying.

I have absolutely no sympathy for that man. I think he should suffer the same fate. Knock him on the head, stick him outside in his underwear and a t-shirt in single-digit temperatures and see how long he lasts.

SueBee I would rather he go to prison! According to my daughter who is a state prison guard he would meet a fate where he would wish he were dead. In prison he would be the lowest of the low and would probably end up with bend over bubba as his cell mate. Those guys in jail are unmercifull if you do any thing to a child, old people or are a rapist. The inmates take care of you when the justice system doesn't. My daughter says that you don't want to know what happens to people who commit unthinkabe crimes like this.

I've heard that too, irish - the inmates in general population don't like child molestors or those who kill children. This guy is both. Should make him VERY popular in general population, which is where he should end up.

I really liked Anna Nicole Smith. She was one of my "guilty pleasures", I watched her reality show faithfully, and listened to her when she was on Howard Stern and then they had a falling out.

She just had a real disgusting way of just shoving her twisted life down everyones throat.

And the media/public ate it up, you can not blame her for cashing in on it. I personally think she has been struggling with mental illness and committed suicide. She always wanted to imulate Marilyn Monroe and died a similar tragic death as her idol.

Well I watched the reports today, and apparently they did not find any illegal drugs in her room, and there were no pills found in her stomach. But they still aren't ruling out an O.D. I still think it's sad. :(

Oh, and what's up with ZaZa's husband now saying HE'S the father? LOL

It's time to call Maurie Povich to find the baby's daddy. I read that she had an inflamed heart, they also said she had prescription meds and OTC meds because she has been sick the past few weeks, it's possible those were a lethal combination and she didn't know it or whatever infection she had could've gone septic. It is a sad situation, and is turning into a circus, I think this baby is going to be worth millions and these dirty men are trying to get their hands on her estate.

That's what they said on Entertainment Tonight. That once her court case is finished, she could get 400 million....And the baby is her only heir. Of COURSE these men want it.

How tragically ironic it would be if her cause of death was much the same as her son's - a lethal drug combination, and not illegal ones.

It is very sad. I was watching as special on her on 20/20 last night. They really compared her to Marilyn Monroe and the death is somewhat similar. Now there is a third guy saying he's the father. And her mother is all over the news saying it was drug related and Anna Nicole never helped her family out. She didn't seemed sad that her daughter died but she was trying to get to her granddaughter. I think a lot of people are after all those millions and aren't really worried about that little baby.

Did you guys see the interview where she was talking about her mom going to her son's grave. She was really upset about it. And she said that her mom said something like "You better watch who you hang with, or you're going to be next." And she said, "Bring it on mom". That's really weird.

I know she was estranged from her family...how very sad for her..and her family. And now the grandmother wants to be part of the baby's life. To my knowledge, she never had much to do with Anna's son, so it's not too difficult to guess why she wants to be part of the baby's life now. Daniel wasn't worth millions - the baby is.

Her son was buried in the Bahama's, her mother flew all the way to the Bahama's to see his grave? She looks like she is poor, and if Anna was estranged from her I wonder how she could afford the round trip ticket.

I thought I heard on the news that they found a prescription bottle with the name H. Stearn on it and they are wondering if Anna was taking Howard's meds, but I didn't hear what type of meds they were. Also, aren't they looking into the fact of why it took so long for Anna's private nurse to call 911? To me, some of these things just don't add up :?

She was taking prescribed meds along with over the counter meds for the flu symptoms she has been having for a few weeks. It is dangerous to combine prescribed meds with over the counter meds. They said her heart was inflamed which could me she had an infection that travelled to the heart.

Sounds like you might right on the money there, Steelers. They were saying this evening that it was well known there were prescription drug problems - a lot of them. And if she combined them with over the counter stuff, that could have been what did it.

On a related note, just after the news broke, I received a spam e-mail at work - titled "drug related deaths are on the rise". Nice. :x

My boys are both on numerous prescribed meds each, and I know I can never give them anything over the counter due to the potential fatal interactions they will have. I think she might have meant no harm and was only trying to relieve her flu symptoms. They also said that she was trying to lower a high fever by soaking in the tub.

I heard that - they were trying to bring the fever down - she got up to 105 at one point in the days before she died. She must have felt awful at that point. I can't imagine having to go on and do tv interviews, etc., feeling the way she did.

I can't imagine she wasn't having seizures with a 105 temp. Once you reach 104 you will begin to seize and after that you are lucky to be alive.

That's what I thought too - I know 106 is definitely a huge danger zone, with seizures, brain damage, death very likely...I didn't know they could occur at 104. I've been to 104 myself - didn't like it there and decided to come back!

I was watching the Today show and they had a bit on Anna Nicole this morning. Now there seems to be more rumor and speculation on who the father of the little girl is. More men are popping up and saying they are the father. What really bothered me is, now there is a legal battle to claim her body. The mother wants to take the body and now Howard K Stern is fighting it. I think she should be buried next to her son in the Bahamas since they were so close. I haven't heard if she left a will behind or not. This poor woman just can't rest in peace yet.

On Feb 26, the court will decide if Anna Nicole smith or Ben Thompson will get the Bahamas house.

I heard they are investigating Howard K. Stern now in relation to what to happened to her and her son.

Supposedly Anna Nicole Smith left a will and everything goes to her daughter. Howard K. Stern in supposedly the trustee of the will.

All the shows are saying that it will take years to settle all the court cases and there is no guarantee
Dannilynn will get anything.

Also everyone is saying Anna Nicole Smith just wanted to be famous but did not know the cost will be so high.

It is a sad case around for everyone.

I also heard that it could be the dead husbands child. If that is the case then the baby is worth millions and just because now she's an heir, blood related, unlike Anna. The whole thing will be wrapped up in courts for years.

Today they are having a hearing over who gets Anna body. Dannilynn cannot leave the Bahamas until the paternity issue is resolved. Anna will was made in 2001. So apparently there can be issues about that.

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband is going to file a paternity suit for Dannilyn. Anna's former bodyguard is also claiming to be the possible father.

It is wild. Anna's half-sister has claimed to saved Marshall sperm and could of used it.

The newscasters are saying they could not written a story as wild as this.

I'm hoping it is the deceased husband's child personally. Watch things go crazy then. Then that child will be ENTITLED for sure to some of his estate. This is so sad yet so interesting.

Now the CSI team is at Anna's house investigating the burglary of private items taken. Ben Thompson is not afraid. He secured the house after he heard private items were taken.

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband did file a paternity claim.

Apparently, Anna Nicole Smith's body is still in limbo due to DNA claims.

Her mother and Howard K. Stern are fighting over her body and where she will be buried.

Bahamas have an injuction preventing Dannilynn from taken out of the Bahamas. Anna's mother has filed for guardship over her too.

This case could carry on for months or even years.

It is really sad that her body is in limbo. Obviously, she wanted to be buried next to her son in the Bahamas. She did buy four plots there after her son passed away. She should have had her will updated though. I know she didn't want her mom to claim her body. That is pretty obvious since they were estranged for the past ten years or so. I think a big motivator for a lot of parties involved is those millions that the baby could inherit down the road. I agree Steelers, it's sad, but it does make for good tv.
