Steelers,

I was out on a 10-6 the other day and I got a 10-33 that there was a 10-41 performing a 10-23 on a 10-45. While I was 10-17 I got stopped by a 10-54, so I decided to 10-66 on the side of the road.

What's your 20, over

I'll pitch in my 38-32-36. ok, ok, I know,, it's my measurements but I have not idea what all that mumbo jumbo is and I wanted to throw my numbers in there.

10-85... had to take a leak. Will prepare to make my written copy on that hit and run. Understand you have been in contact with the coroner and notified coroner of my location. ETA on coroner is 20 mins. (Although now it's been about 9 hours and still hasn't shown up). Thanks for the information on my hit-and-run; understand driver's license is valid and subject has no warrants.

The rest of it I don't know. You got me on the KMA330 and code 2/6 and tac9 - guess I lose those points. I did see some 10-45 on the road, think I'll pick it up and fry it for dinner. 10-42 over and out.

Hahaha....well done none the less! Code two(2) is 10-40, code six(6)unit conducting field investigation, no assistance anticipated, followed by location, only when at location (not before) code six adam is assistance needed.

KMA330 is "base", though I chose not to use the the real numeric sequence, timestamp added because now days as I understand it, radio traffic between base & units and unit to unit are recorded & timestamped automatically for use later if a complaint is filed on unit, ect.

actually I designated the wrong radio channel & should have specified "F-9". But that 10-85 sure did take you a long while! Man, you must have a bladder the size of liguid tank trailer! :D

You get an "E" for effort.........points in your bucket only cuz I *fubard* the freq even though your unit was equipped with MDT

;)

After my 10-7 yesterday, I 10-23 at the bar 2200 hours. By 2330 I was 10-56. If I would have taken that call above, I would have been 10-55.

Hey I've seen a number of website that list these 10- codes. But none of them match ... one site said 10-23 means a ****offense, while another says 10-23 arrived at scene. Why is that?

apco ten code is specific across the board. agency personel over the years have modified it to work within their agency. some agencies have gone the extra step to devise a "CODE" system unique to them to shorten up broadcast time to units in the field & done so quite well.

CODE system works better because the trainee officer doesn't have to think about the interpretation or look it up on their clipboard when running say code two. so through constant training at academy & use he/she knows whats needed & where.
