A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to My Inbox....

It's because they are prohibited in the states listed in the e-mail and they have more than likely signed agreements with those states to mention they are not lending to those residents. I got that info from my AG's office.

Here goes another bunch of PDL sharks trying to give you a loan and another bill on top of that. LOL

Yup, exactly right, natdust! I don't even check my "trash" inbox much, I usually just delete them, because I don't get anything but that - trash. I usually scroll down through to be sure that's what it all is before I delete it, but it always is. And there's a TON of payday lender e-mails in there. Lately, I've been getting the "find an adult friend" or v-agra ads in my regular inbox, though - annoying.

Yea, I have set my "BULK" box to automatically delete them and when I get junk in my inbox, I usually mark it as spam. Somehow they still get through under a different email addy.

It's because they're bots and keep mutating like a dang virus everytime you mark them as spam.

Not only do I get the bogus PDL ads, I also get ads promising to enlarge a certain part of my anatomy that I don't have, lol......

I get those P-enlargement ads too..They always say something like "hey Michelle, want to be hung like a horse?" I notice that those are sponsered by singles websites frequently..Go figure.

I get a few of those a week. But what is surprising is that I have another e-mail that I use and only family have that addy and this week I have gotten about 10 offers from pdls! It is starting to give me the willies!

I get them all also. Well one thing is for sure, .... does matter.

And why is it that guys never get those enlargement ads? I mean, hell, SOMEONE has to keep them in business, right????

I also get some from those singles websites. Some of them are like **** crap and others say "Natasha, wanna go out tonight?" It kinda creeps me out too...

What scares me though is that my kids get those "come" on e-mails and so do my young granddaughters! Even with all of the spam and parental protection.

I think that they have a way of getting around all of the SPAM blockers and the protection programs also. It amazes me how ppl can do stuff like this. Before you know it, they will be able to watch you thru your computer without a webcam :wink:

I've heard some people that said they actually BELIEVED that was happening when someone had a webcam, and wouldn't buy one because of it.

I don't have one because I see no need for it. I'm home, I'm in my flannel nightie, my hair's all wet from a shower, and no makeup. You DON'T wanna see it. :lol:

You know when I got in a bind about 8 days ago,I passed about 5 or 6 of those pdls and started thinking.About 2 min. of wasted time,I said no Hel# no. I have not carried anything but a debit card for years but I guess I'll have to carry one now.I just applied and was approved for four of them.I think I'll have to break in Discover since it is one that we have never had.That one is rough to get. :mrgreen:

Noticed a HUGE increase in spam, not only on this site, but in my e-mail as well, and we had some sort of problem with our server at work that allowed a BUNCH of spam to get through...so now I'm getting P-enlargement and C-alis ads at home AND work....great. :roll:

Kinda makes you wonder what's going on when it all piles up at once in several different places like that.

That it does- I deleted probably 25 spam entries on the forums earlier today-don't know what that's about!!.

I am to the point of not even editing spam. If I know for sure it's spam, I just purge the post.

I'm the same, Jeff - I don't edit the posts. Provided no members have responded to the spam posts, I just delete them entirely, even if it means deleting a thread started by a spammer. If members have responded to it, then I'll just edit the spammer's post and leave the thread standing.

Yeah, I do the same- just delete it! I leave others posts alone, but I'm sure not leaving the spam ones there!!.KAren
