Hi Guys,

Can anyone told me how to dispute my summon for wage garnishment.
I have 2. One from Lucky Cash For You in the amount of $2100 & the other one from Cash Central for 1500.
The loan was for $400.

I am with debt consolidation but they are claiming that they did not accept the consolidator's proposal after accepting some payments. I started with consolidation on Sept & I was told that a week ago that they will no longer accept payments. Yesterday I got their summon.

A friendly advice to everybody, when making a payment to your loans make sure that they received it and try to get a certified check or something from the bank that whatever happens you can easily dispute it. Try to avoid making money order payments. I have a money order that I made payable to my consolidator and my pdl company that was stolen. I don't know how they are doing it, the people who stole my money order managed to changed the payee's name into their name & deposit it into their bank account. I filed a police report (sure they said they might do something or they might not because it's a small amount...for them it is a small amount)and requested a refund. Western Union told me that it will take 7 months to get my money back IF I can proved that it was stolen. (provided them with face copy of money order that also came from them , paid $12 per money order and the police report)Now, I have to close my eyes and wait 7 months while all my creditors are processingt heir wage garnishment because I'm unable to pay my bills. It's ok if I lost $20 but I'm talking about $1500 in total of money order. Sent to different places and different date.

This is really unfortunate. Show all your defensive points to the judge when you go to the court. He will be able to understand that you were always taking care of your debts. The police complaint will be your important proof along with the receipts. Don't miss the court date otherwise the situation will shape up against you.

Have you filed a complaint with the attorney generals office. This consolidation company should be responsible for their employees. You should file a lawsuit against them. You would certainly win. How could a place that is supposed to help a person out do this. Makes me sick in my stomach. Is this company still in business?
Can you get proof that you purchased the money orders, do you have reciepts or copies?

Why would the pdl that accepted payments at one point stop suddenly. This makes no sense either. Sounds like you got dealt a bad hand from all sides. I would go to your local legal aid office and see if they can provide you with a lawyer or visit naca.net, they have consumer advocates in every state. Goodluck.

I tried to settle w/ Lucky Cash to bring down the $2100 to atleast a $1000, $100 down and $100/mo but they don't want to. I asked my consolidation company to make an offer but lucky is playing hard ball. Now they don't want a $100 down but a $200 down and $150 monthly or pay it off for $1700.
I went to Nevada Legal Services to dispute their Judgement but hasn't hear from them yet. If anyone can give me an advice as to what should be the next best step for me to do.
My nightmare w/ pdl is almost over I was able to pay most of them on my own. I have learned my lessons, thinking that my consolidation company will serve as brickwall that can fight for me from those monsters was a big big mistake. They only made my situation worst. NO more to pdl. And to anyone out there who's in the same situation don't just sit & relax and wait for your consolidation to work for you. It's not going to happen. I fought for 3 judgement while I was in consolidation, I was able to settle 2 and paid off half of my pdl. I had 13 when I joined this forum. If Lucky is firm w/ $2100 garnishment then I'm back to being screwed again. I hope not. I am still hoping and trying my best to make everything work.
